Yeast Assassin Post 3

Amazingly, most of my symptoms are gone! I just finished up the bottle. I am continuing to take the probiotics until I finish that bottle up as well.

Yeast Assassin Post 2

Well I am not doing a very good job here. I have had sugar twice. Today I was informed that I probably shouldn't even be eating fruit. woops!  So as of today, no more sugar and no fruit. (I hope!)

Yeast Assassin Post 1

I fear that I am battling with yeast. I have always craved sweets and carbs but about 9 months ago I started majorly craving them and majorly eating them!  It was not pretty. I have also had other symptoms come up here and there. Itchy skin/scalp, tummy troubles, coated tongue....I think what took me over the edge was when I had Sadie. For various reasons that I won't bore anyone with, I was given an antibiotic days after she was born. Sadie was given 3 different antibiotics before she was 6 days old. She is my first baby to have thrush and she was so kind to pass it on to me. ;-)  We battled it back and forth for quite a while. Hers finally went away but mine came and went for months.

What seemed to almost clear the thrush up for me was starting the SBP diet for our family. It has no grains and no sugar (along with a lot of other stuff being eliminated). I did notice that if I ate something with quite a bit of honey in it my symptoms would come back.

Well, I decided to wean Sadie on Thanksgiving. She has been battling eczema on her legs, which started about 2 months ago. Her onset of eczema coincided with us beginning the SBP diet and with her starting Stage 3 baby foods.  I am 99.9% certain it is from the amount of eggs I have been consuming. She accidentally got a bite that her sister shared with her and immediately broke into hives. My only other guess is it could be wheat in her stage 3 foods. So she is entirely wheat free now but I was having trouble eliminating eggs from my diet, given our other current restrictions, so I decided to just wean her. She's about the age everyone else weaned anyway. (Her legs are starting to look better already and it's just now been a week!)

Yes, I realize this post is titled Yeast Assassin and I haven't even mentioned it yet. I'm getting there.

When I decided to wean Sadie I realized that this is a HUGE window of opportunity for me. I can count on just a few fingers the number of times in the past 10 years that I have NOT been pregnant or nursing. That's a big deal. I went to my faithful friends at MOMYS and asked them what they would suggest for a battle with yeast. I was pointed to Beeyoutiful.com and told to get Yeast Assassin. You cannot do this while pregnant or nursing.  Of course I realize there may be some unpleasant *ahem* side affects and there will never be a perfect time for any of that, so now is probably about as good as I am going to get.

My shipment came in the mail yesterday and I began taking it last night. I can taste the oil of oregano. I plan to document this journey (Although I am not sure how much information I will share publicly. You probably don't want it all anyway. LOL) that will hopefully become a story of a tremendous healing.

So this is Post 1 of my journey with Yeast Assassin. As I update I will figure out how to link each post so they are all in one place.

Have a blessed day! ~Tammy
